Paper trade: long 73 s/l 70 As I type this market jumped and I have stop loss now at 76. Edit: out at 76
I generally don't trade on Fed days so I'm just a bystander today (although I couldn't resist a small breakout trade this morning so I took that)....
I'm with you, I'm on the sidelines today with everything going on.
If you don't mind, can you give us some summaries of how the old/new strategies are working over time now that you have a few weeks under your belt.
I like the switch to the 512 tick chart. I just pulled it up for the first time and the highs/lows seem to jump out better than the 5min I've...
I was away from the computer and missed that one. I'm using 19.5 as the new reaction high so I wouldn't have taken the 14-14.5 on the second drop...
I was looking to go long at 14-14.5 but it didn't quite make it down there. Reports coming out at 8:30 so I will have to wait awhile for the next...
I was using the 44.75 spike. The market went below 34.75 and I waited for a little retrace before jumping in to try and catch a little ride. I...
Not sure about this one, long 34.5, will take a small profit (1-2 points) as I'm not sure I like the price action right now. Edit: out at 35.5,...
I was busy with another trade and didn't catch the 37 short, it's in the money just a little bit right now. Good entry.
I'm late posting this but, took 30.25 short at first hit and closed at 29.25 for +1. It went 2 points in my favor but I didn't want a winner to...
ES looks like it is trying to roll over for another drop, 54.50 was as close as it got. Things may change after lunch though.
I was pulling for you to take the 2-3 point gain and bank it. Close but no cigar. Next short is at 55.50.
If your entry was 57.5 you would have been stopped out at 60.5 before it dropped (assuming you are using the popular 3 point stop).
I just got back in from an appointment. Anybody take the 35.75 long after a day like today?
Volente will be on here soon saying that there shouldn't be any longs due to the 9/18 MA.
For the time being the low is now 51.50 for a short at 61.50. What to use for the high? You could use 68.25 and go with a ROT x2 for a new long...
Looks like last high was 73.25 and low was 64.75 (although it might still be going lower as it just hit that level). Edit: You are right, high...
They aren't letting it go quite yet: http://www.cnbc.com/id/24406692/site/14081545/
I'm not sure what you mean by "Can I sell that call that I bought back since I paid for it." I'm not sure what paying for it has to do with...
