When I started trading SPX iron condors maybe a year ago I was told never let them expire. Prudent advice that I have always followed.

The risk in selling puts is if the underlying moves down. The puts you sold...someone out there bought them. If RSH goes to zero, you obligation...

I pretty much exclusively trade SPX options and haven't had a problem. I can't imagine the frustration. Hope they resolve it for you soon.
