You don't think the adaptive market hypothesis inherently sets out to disprove the notion that markets are random? Wow! Incidentally, Buffett challenged the Random Walk claim about 30 years ago and until now neither Malkiel nor any scholar has responded. He offered his own performance as proof. He also disputes the efficient market hypothesis afaik.
Surf,I probably come close to residing in your camp when it comes to pure TA,but do you think the concepts of trend following,buying pull backs and mean reversion are all for naught? Your argument may hold water on entries,but does not on exits.
