I looked margin requirements on futures for DAX and SPX. Why margin requirement even in portfolio margin a/c is so high? Thanks

 

It all depends on your brokerage and exchange requirement.

Some people do get special treatment / arrangement with their firms.

 

Market breadth indicates significant increase in volatility is in the card.
