what ta enthusiasts need are charts edited and filtered for known announcements
let's just say 12 hours before and after
yes, there would be some gaps, but the followers of an indicator would be presumed flat for a 24 hour period
The funny thing is, eventually the charts would start showing liquidation before and getting back in after.

I don't think most TA users are looking for an indicator that tells them how to correctly trade a rate hike, they are looking for one that helps them in the daily grind

 

It's a personal thing

 

no doubt about it, at least for me. I hear some guys talk about their methods and think, "I would rather be working in the Pentagon accounting department than try to trade that all day."

Same today, that histogram is so tight and rising prior to the move (30m chart).

 

MACD in the hands of a professional does it again. We are getting into Overbought territory on daily. Any concerns here?

 

I would like to see if we test 1.58, if it starts rejecting there I will close and get in again of daily chart's signal whenever that comes about.

 

I don't see exactly what I want to see on the Yen Monthly right now to get in long term.

 

I am Short Ninja. I understand what you are saying as price hasn't started doing anything positive yet on the Monthly, but RSI is extremely oversold. Grails on the weekly. Near historic support. Maybe dead cat bounce, maybe breakdown.
