Rosebud

Bought back one unit CL at 58.01, + 1.09. Holding two units short CL and 3 units short "OVX".

Even though "FV" on the main trading model is ~55.75, there I have another trading model that allows me to trade units with higher frequency around the main position. It acts as a "Bollinger Band" of models. That one gives "FV" at ~58.00 when I exited one unit.

As seen above, I have a choice of exiting the short CL or entering long BC. Which one I do depends on "FV" in relation to BC or "FV" in relation to CL. This time around BC has almost no edge.

 

1st attempt at fix of Silver model. "FV" ~16.13. We'll see how this goes. If I get enough edge away from "FV" I will trade it, but using absolute minimum size.

 

Added short CL at 60.20. Back to 1:1 between "OVX" and CL shorts.

 

XAGUSD "FV" ~15.92. At time I post this actual silver is trading at 15.98.

Gaining some confidence in new silver model but still too early to tell.

 

Short Silver 16.18. Minimum size.

 

Out 2 OVX 30.70, + 2.20. Still holding one short OVX. Still short 3 CL.

 

Out last OVX short at 30.15, + 2.75. Holding all three CL short.

 

nitro..there is no trade-able OVX....futures...u are just quoting the index that cannot be traded..

what is wrong with u? does this "journal" have to be moved to chit chat like your last one?

i did and its laughable ...claiming you are long or short a non trade able vol index (or discontinued futures) when in fact its a straddle of some sort is beyond ridiculous; especially coming from an older , supposedly educated person. why not just journal it as it really is?

these are legit issues as we are supposed to be a real trading site, and far from trolling...
