JC Penney back above 8 this week. Companies that dig stuff out of the ground are getting killed. The Amex numbers look like a bear market (when you throw all of the ETFs out of the mix). I'm taking a staycation next week, going to just stay home and read. Maybe hit up a couple of dive bars for day drinking. It's always fun to talk philosophy with homeless schizophrenics when they're drunk at 1 in the afternoon. The scan I used to run to look for stocks rising on subtle increases in volume no longer works. I dunno why. Is it the 0 interest rate environment? Back in '05 I thought it would lead me to an early retirement.
The drunks in my neighborhood don't watch where they are walking.
