Slightly off topic but for the first time in a long time I would say Mcdonalds is making some mis steps. They arent cheap anymore but they are also slow. Surely the draw card of fast food is fast and cheap? By attempting to cater for everybody in all things they have damaged their reputation. Everytime you are stuck in the drive thru for 10 minutes* because a car in front wants a freshly made quarter pounder with 4 pickles instead of 2,is one less time you consider patronising. They need to get back to core businesslace an order and have your food all within 5 minutes,get the exact same quality and quantity everytime etc. They almost need a 'McDonalds gourmet' outlet for those that want to try the weird and wonderful,take their time and pay a bit more and have 90% of stores high volume,fast,yet good. Automation will do wonders for them of course,but even so I would get back to core. *yes i recently had a lengthy wait in the Macas drive thru.
