Machine Learning is the new C++

Yes, there is a big divergence between reality and hype within the AI/ML space.

 

It has already been done and classified repeatedly. There was one that made the fictional skynet look like a helmet wearing tard and it ran on a single desktop.

AI is only as smart as the person that creates it.

 

Sure, AI is not creative enough to write algorithms yet.

 

I don't think society would care whether human traders or computers traders were creating liquidity in the market.

 

Of course it is. An algorithm is basically a set of instructions. There is nothing magical about one algorithm creating another.
