All I am staring at is that chart and not S/R levels at all, I will check 60 minute if I can remember to use it as I am also trade ES at part of same time. So I am taking far less signals on Nasdaq than ES, so I am taking the easy signals on Nasdaq.
I called out trades a year ago live in ES journal and long term in Live Cattle, I have no ego left any more to want to waste time doing, no one learns from live calls. I don't trade retail, when you lease your seat, let's see if you are posting anything real time, ROFLMAO you here two months and almost 900 posts? You explain how you trade so as to actually help anyone instead of running your keys? LOL
Another average day Had a few losses, but nothing to get in a twist over One more day then we can relax a bit - but..., not till tomorrow in the books Have a homework assignment for you tomorrow J..., for over the weekend RN
I gotta say at times I felt a little whipsawed and shaken. I was able to remind myself to focus and relax. Checked my trades intra day and all were good. I switched to NQ right before CL took a nice drop. I had been taking shorts on CL that weren't going yet. oh well. 1 mistake in NQ bringing stop up too tight. Overall executed well. Room for improvement perhaps but I like how I traded. Today I may have been better off just trading one market. Something I'll have to consider. - 6 ticks in CL , + 7.50 NQ points EDIT: I'm looking forward to some homework RN. jas
T-up for tomorrow ==================== btw; Not looking for perfection - absolutely none of us are Goal is = consistent..., discipline ======================= Day 1 results = Plan executed well Day 2 results = 1 impulse trade / one mismanaged exit Day 3 results = 1 mistake bringing stop up too tight / Overall executed well (may have been better off just trading one market) ======================= Day 4 / 9 (we're on a two week goal of consistency) Let's do our job today Early on as possible - identify the environment - on your TTF (chop / range/ trend) and trade within it - and keep on it like stink on shit Nothing fancy (made up)..., no BS - iow stick to each plan =============================== jas_in_hbca said: The disappointment at the end of the day when seeing needless losses because of my poor discipline can be like daggers. I don't like being disappointed in myself EOD. "jasinhbca's quest for discipline," ================================= Being that it EOW / before a holiday / summer - don't go in expecting much tomorrow Likely move early - then dry up - traders wanting to begin their weekend early SHTF events notwithstanding as always ================ Get some rest.., I'll see Ya in the morning RN
To emphasis; Not looking for perfection - absolutely none of us are Goal is = consistent..., discipline RN
Good focus and discipline today. I held a couple trades longer than I like BUT that's good. Too often I have wrongly exited early because trades weren't moving "fast" enough in my direction. Today I properly held through normal pullback/ consolidations. Missed a trade when I wasn't looking, oh well. Only + 8 ticks today but my focus/patience/discipline is returning. Didn't watch NQ much today. No trades there. For week -23 ticks in CL and + 23.50 NQ points. After commish I think I made enough to buy a couple beers. That was a week I'm happy to have made it through undamaged. I've got a couple PA studies I want to do. Mostly I just need to keep reminding myself that patience and focus is all I need. Discipline is what separates the pro's from the amateurs. Which do I want to be ? I'm ready for some homework.
Aside; Last weekend I chewed your ass pretty hard,.., also pretty sure I pissed you off The goal is to transform you into a consistently profitable trader..., able to trade for a living You didn't cower down..., you didn't lash out..., you didn't make excuses You hunkered down and moved forward Last week the wheels came off.., this week they didn't Next week you break - the up one week..., down the next bullshit It is within you to be a trader - know it..., embrace it..., become it Yup.., it's work..., but it's want you want No more with the backsliding crap J - no more ================================= ================================= I'm ready for some homework. Alrighty then..... This homework is rhetorical J (for you - to improve you) Below are your week's results It exactly who you..., as a trader..., was this week; Is it the results - the professional trader within you - is satisfied with? It is good enough to trade full time? If so - cool If not - what will you do next week to better these results..., to improve you? This is not an exercise in evaluating the trades - screw em - in hindsight we all could have placed good / profitable / better trades This is all about you..., evaluating you..., and your actions - as a trader Important note; You have a tendency to over hindsight / over criticize yourself Don't!!! Remember as you rethink / relive / evaluate this past week's performance; Not looking for perfection - absolutely none of us are Goal is = (your) consistent..., discipline Evaluate your results..., then come into Monday fully prepared to implement what ever you figure out May be it - change nothing May be it - change every thing May be it - some where between these two extremes above - a few things need buttressed up What ever it is - bring it Monday.., we have a nasty ass loop to obliterate ======================= Day 1 results = Plan executed well Day 2 results = 1 impulse trade / one mismanaged exit Day 3 results = 1 mistake bringing stop up too tight / Overall executed well (may have been better off just trading one market) Day 4 results = Good focus and discipline today / held a couple longer than I like BUT that's good / properly held through normal pullback/ consolidations ============ Happy and Safe 4th to You..., and Your Family J Respectfully Your Wall..., general pain in the ass..., and friend RN
