Increases in CO2 - Causes Cooling

  1. Indisputable fact: Man has caused levels to go up 40%.

  2. Fact: Levels of CO2 are higher than they have been in over 400,000 years.

  3. Fact: This has caused the earth gain heat at a rapid rate.

Fact : This is the consensus opinion of over 97% of the world's climate scientists.

  4. Fact: Anyone trying to say otherwise is either very stupid or a fucking liar or both.

co2 is the black line... historically co2 level is very low... the earth seems to be starving for more co2.

    “0.3% climate consensus, not 97.1%”

    PRESS RELEASE – September 3rd, 2013

A major peer-reviewed paper by four senior researchers has exposed grave errors in an earlier paper in a new and unknown journal that had claimed a 97.1% scientific consensus that Man had caused at least half the 0.7 Cº global warming since 1950.

A tweet in President Obama’s name had assumed that the earlier, flawed paper, by John Cook and others, showed 97% endorsement of the notion that climate change is dangerous:

“Ninety-seven percent of scientists agree: #climate change is real, man-made and dangerous.” [Emphasis added]

The new paper by the leading climatologist Dr David Legates and his colleagues, published in the respected Science and Education journal, now in its 21st year of publication, reveals that Cook had not considered whether scientists and their published papers had said climate change was “dangerous”.

The consensus Cook considered was the standard definition: that Man had caused most post-1950 warming. Even on this weaker definition the true consensus among published scientific papers is now demonstrated to be not 97.1%, as Cook had claimed, but only 0.3%.

Only 41 out of the 11,944 published climate papers Cook examined explicitly stated that Man caused most of the warming since 1950. Cook himself had flagged just 64 papers as explicitly supporting that consensus, but 23 of the 64 had not in fact supported it.

  7. There is a special place in hell for lying scumbags like jerm. Assholes like him are obstructing taking action on CO2 pollution which threatens the earth and mankind with catastrophic climate change if we don't act soon. Our grandchildren and their grandchildren will pay the price for our current practices. This is not some academic exercise or trivial debate on politics.

He's the same kind of scumbag liar like those that said cigarettes were OK and the kind of scumbag lawyers that defended OJ.

    Hey jem. Fuck you.

  8. Global warming is expected to have far-reaching, long-lasting and, in many cases, devastating consequences for planet Earth.

For some years, global warming — the gradual heating of Earth's surface, oceans and atmosphere — was a topic of heated debate in the scientific community.

But the overwhelming consensus of researchers today is that global warming is real and is caused by human activity, primarily the burning of fossil fuels that pump carbon dioxide (CO2), methane and other greenhouse gases into the atmosphere. In fact, a major report released Sept. 27, 2013, by the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) stated that scientists are more certain than ever of the link between human activities and global warming.

  9. Once again fraudcurrents gets it backwards :p

Results from 3,586 separate experimental conditions conducted on 549 plant species reveal nearly all plants will experience increases in dry weight or biomass in response to atmospheric CO2 enrichment. Results from an additional 2,094 separate experimental conditions conducted on 472 plant species reveal nearly all plants will experience increases in photosynthesis in response to atmospheric CO2 enrichment.
