Back when 1900 numbers where hot. I knew a guy who set up a number and would go business to business asking to use the phone. Every call scored him $50.00. He even made a call from the police station and elevators! The nerve of that guy!!
I don't understand why the local phone carrier would pay these bills. They must get a cut. Surely they are not legally obligated to pay fraudulent charges.
I took our lawmakers thirty years to start dealing with identity theft... meanwhile the eurozone never had that problem.. I wouldn't look to government to fix this anytime at all. Block call forwarding, block the prefixes...
That had to be in NY! Has NY written all over it. And damn! Just 30 calls/day, and he could pull down $7,500/week, no tax. Of course, a few weeks of that, and can imagine he'd be beaten badly, lol.
LOL--- It was a psychic hotline!! the dude cashed out with enough money to buy a sports car and a nice house---- think he could ever go back to a real job??
A dude with balls and ambition like that could make an absolute fortune in the fake gold market. what's he into now? gay porn marketing?
