You cannot short stocks in your IRA account. However you can buy or sell cash covered PUT in your IRA account.
I believe Monday will be another big down day. After 4 days of down days, it seems improbable but I believe that will happen. Now is 6PM ET on Sunday and futures are up a about 0.2%.
Short trade week...markets closed on Friday and not only that but they are releasing job figures for the month of March...go figure. Why not release the data on Thursday since that information is one of the most looked at economic data.... I have no guesses for these markets this week. Especially after a flat Friday closing. But im hoping for major volatility these next 4 trading days...
http://www.cnbc.com/id/102542174 Cramer already talking about how biotechs and semis are turning around after bottoming ...I have to laugh because it seems bottoms only last a few hours now a days....4 down days and that's it....were headed right back up....this market needs a true wake up call
Futures now up...if they keep at it they will be up over .5% by morning. Might even get one of those 200+ point Dow gains....
Huge gains in the futures this early morning....China is printing more money in their markets. Shanghai up almost 100 points.... DOW FUT17748.00 122.00 +0.69% NAS FUT4364.75 39.00 +0.90% OIL48.23 -0.64 -1.31%
Anybody knows how to trade Chinese markets if you're overseas? It seems the Shanghai Stock Exchange is booming and Shcomp is heading into the space. But I have trouble finding any info on how to trade them. Do they have an index futures? ETF? any ideas?
And there you go....picture perfect 200+ point gain just like I said....the chance of this rally falling apart by the close is less than 1%. Chance of it slowly grinding higher into the close is an easy 85% chance. Same thing over and over.
Ok, up 250 on the Dow. Cash markets been open for 10 minutes....Thats about it...now sideways for 6 hours.
Former chairman of the federal reserve Ben Bernake is going to have a blog.....wow still jaw boning the markets.
