I am sure it will rally now. Oh whatever. The big winner is the broker. $275 in commissions.

How many round-trips did you make with SPY? 7000 in and out or did you trade 500 shares 14 times?

I just bought some xiv ..holding it overnight ..

I made 8 trades. Am I better of at Etrade? I am at Interactive Brokers -- the actually commissions to IB are reasonable. But they breakdown the charges to mandatory FINRA fees etc. I am not sure if at Etrade the $9/trade includes all the regulatory charges. If it does, Etrade would stand to make a loss if someone puts in a large number of shares, wouldn't it?

I am in cash for tonight. A little confused on whether 5k will happen again or not.

8 trades so break it down...

Even if you did 8 trades total at Ameritrade which I believe it doesn't matter the amount of shares traded that would have cost you
    Approximately $80 bucks

You went in 7000 shares each time and out which is 4 round trips 8 trades total...if you make enough trades and have a sizable account figure to bring to scottrade...etrade or Ameritrade they will bring pricing per trade down....you can also go to a few other trading platforms that offer 4.95 a trade. I never signed up for interactive brokers...went with Mbtrading which now offers $4.95 a trade which your trades today would have cost probably! 40-$50 bucks....spending hundreds of dollars on the amount of trades you made today isn't worth it....switch out to another broker ...
