Agreed. The part that they are missing is that Romik never said that he isn't going long in another account, just that he is holding the position short until either/or conditions are met. It's no different than having a long term long and hedging with puts at extreme levels.
When this thing is rallying, ES follows...sometimes it will give a head's up a day or two in advance.

There's no reason to add any complexity that he hasn't described, other than keeping his eye on the strength and weakness. Tho I'm only speculating on this next bit I will not b surprised if he holds out for more, for a bigger target if weakness indicates it's merited.
