Nice trade---Couple of questions: 1. What was the reason that you waited until so late to enter long. 2. What was the impetus for removing size at 7.75
--02/02/15 Monday afterhours PM. Closed the trade here at 2012.75 and have reversed long here at 2012.75. Initial stop is 1968.75 during RTH. --02/03/2015 Tuesday afterhours PM. Price is 2040.50. See no reason right now to elevate my protective sell stop. It will remain at 1968.75 for now and will be in effect during RTH --02/04/2015 Wed afterhours PM. Price is 2024.50. No reason to move stop yet until trade moves in my favor. --02/06/15 Fri afterhours AM. Price is 2054.25. Need to close a bit higher for my stop to move upwards. --02/06/15 Fri after hours PM. Price closed the week at 2056.00. Holding trade with same RTH stop. --02/09/15 Mon after hours PM. Price is 2044.75. Need the trade to move more in my favor to raise my stop. --02/10/15 Tues afterhours PM. Price is 2061.75. Not enough movement or time yet to raise stop. --02/13/15 Fri afterhours AM. Price is 2084.75. Raising sell stop to 1995.00 RTH. At the moment, there is no evident reason to take profits or reverse short. --02/17/15 Tues afterhours PM. Price is 2096.00. Keeping stop the same for now. Need to get higher prices to move the stop as we sit now. --Trend should continue. --02/20/15 Fri afterhours PM. Price closed today at 2107.25. I am raising the protective sell stop now to 2032.00. Will consider taking profits around 2150 if we arrive there. I'll need to review price action at that point to determine.
I bought 84 earlier in the day and closed 93, but didn't post. At 2103 action looked like full steam ahead. Reduced when I thought maybe we close OPEx at round number 2100, Which didn't happen.
Was there something at 93 that caused a decision to pull the plug there? Was it an exit based upon activity on a particular time frame?
Would like to see traders mention the time frame chart they are entering and exiting on and how large the stop is. I am thinking that on a 1 minute chart, that perhaps no more than 2 points should be the stop and the target should be no less than 6 points. --a 5 minute chart trade would have no more than a 6 point stop with no less than an 18 point target, and a 15 minute chart trade would have no more than a 10 point stop with no less than a 30 point target. --Your thoughts are welcome.
We've got at least two traders who are still short not using stops. Iloveoptions/pushpull is short from 2058 I believe and satchel is short from average 2072 something. Would like to hear from them as to what their current plans are.
