How much do you think determination outweighs IQ when it comes to achieving success as a trader?

    ,,Isaac Newton, -
when assessing his cognitive prowess, estimations place his hypothetical IQ score in the range of 190 to 200, depending on the specific criteria used for measurement."

Lost life savings during the Tulip Bubble. Banned his students of ever speaking about it again.

IQ is overrated, the consistently winning traders need to think and behave differently. There is no way around it.

Determination helps, but I think commitment is the key.

Take a moment and think about the following:

“Until one is committed, there is hesitancy, the chance to draw back, always ineffectiveness. Concerning all acts of initiative (and creation), there is one elementary truth, the ignorance of which kills countless ideas and splendid plans: that the moment one definitely commits oneself, then Providence moves too. All sorts of things occur to help one that would never otherwise have occurred. A whole stream of events issues from the decision, raising in one's favour all manner of unforeseen incidents and meetings and material assistance, which no man could have dreamt would have come his way. I have learned a deep respect for one of Goethe's couplets:
Whatever you can do, or dream you can, begin it.
Boldness has genius, power, and magic in it!”

IQ is essential for developing an edge !

Determination is essential for trading an edge successful !

If you don't have IQ, wrong trading decisions will blow your acount up...

If you don't have determination, the psychological difficulties of trading the market will blow your account up...

You misunderstand what IQ is. A relative intelligence ranking. Not have it or not.

Very high IQ has been historically shown to be a hindrance rather than an advantage.

Average and above average is where it is at.

But that article is mostly wrong when it notes '' glasses dont make any difference''
only in the strictest wooden definition/ readers are leaders, like Dave ramsey says.
But maybe deadly in Cambodia, they shot millions of people with glasses\

We got similar things tho. Things that in value (and not price), are beneath of a single tulip seed.

    To the moon, doge.

During the peek of mania, they were exchanging 4 or 8~ full sets of golden/silver dinner tools for one tulip seed or something.
    ~4 horses etc. (laughs)

Still noone beats the banana that was sticked to the museum wall.
