How the hell is the 24" more expensive than the 28"? Article error? Either way, not a bad price for 4K. I do however think if you're going to go 4K for trading, you want at least a 39" which is equivalent of 4x 19.5" monitors. On a 24" screen you'd be down to 4x 12" monitor equivalent.

Haswell will support 4K. I would expect every version of Windows to handle 4K, but I'm sure anything Windows 7 or later will suffice.

I'll say it again -- if you're considering 4K for trading, I think it's important to get a large display to get best benefits.

    The 24'' will have Sharps IGZO-Display, the 28'' only a normal TN-Panel.

I am now interested in this 4K monitor option...

I was looking hard at the new monoprice 30inch monitor...

    Any other feedback?

I cannot find a motherboard with hdmi 2.0 for 60hz 4k so I am guessing you have to use a graphics card until updated motherboards are available to use the onboard graphics.

Also important is the 4K display itself. Pretty much all the first gen displays including Seiki are not HDMI 2.0 themselves and already incapable of anything more than 30hz.

I did try the Seiki as a trading monitor and found that the low refresh rate made it cumbersome when doing a quick chart markup or moving mouse to place order. When I'm trading, I want my mouse to be extremely responsive. It might not be a deal breaker for everyone, especially those who trade high TFs, but just wanted to put it out there!

2014 will be a year of some really cool 4K displays! Just be patient.
