Does anyone have experience trading on a 4K display? I think they have the potential to make a sweet trading setup. For those who don't know, they are super high resolution displays that are essentially the equivalent of having 4x 1080p screens in a 2x2 setup. You can get this for around $500. www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00DOPGO2G/ While it might not be the best for gaming or color accuracy, for trading it seems perfect.
I use two 2560x1600 screens which give a desktop resolution of 5120x1600. That is 8,192,000 pixels (vs 8,294,400 for the Seiki Digital SE39UY04 linked above), so not much of an improvement for me. However, I couldn't replace even one of my current monitors for $600. So this may be a more cost effective option for someone who legitimately needs such display real estate but hasn't bought any screens yet.
2560x1600 is a great upgrade from my 1920x1200 and these 4k should be quite good in a year or two. I just picked up a 30" 2560x1600 on Monoprice and love it so far. I use it with two 24", but three of these 30" ones set vertically, side by side by side may be my next move. http://www.monoprice.com/Product?c_id=113&cp_id=11307&cs_id=1130703&p_id=10734&seq=1&format=2
I use it, but getting it to work right was a hassle and it still doesn't exactly refresh properly. If I had to do it over again, I'd wait till it's more mature and use dual 2560x1600's in the mean time.
