Hand guns and high capacity magazine long guns also need to be banned. It's really that simple. Well FC, I agree with you. I agree with you on every single point. There's just one problem. It won't work. We can ban hand guns and there will still be hand guns. We can ban high capacity magazines and they will still be available, and in large numbers with easy access. I wish it were so easy as to ban these weapons, I really do. I like Ricters idea of some type of WPA program for the young bucks. I like the idea with a caveat. It's mandatory and EVERYONE participates. No exceptions. NO deferments. No way to buy your way out. A draft into civil service if you will and every swinging dick plays the game for two years minimum. More if you don't play right. You play until you play right. Of course this will never happen, nor will anything that reassembles this ever happen. Our leadership has neither the intelligence or the courage to put such a plan into action. I am not going to have any Liberals step on my second amendment right to bear arms. We need to defend ourselves from the potential of totalitarian rule by Obama.
