So what you are claiming is you'd have covered your short at $40 a share based on your valuation ? So tell me, on your frequent claims that the S&P is going to crash in the future, at what level would you cover on your "crash trade". Be specific. Let's get your numbers ahead of time to eliminate any confusion.

  7. Does anyone think institutions are propping up SHAK until the lockup period ends 7/29/2015 (according to NASDAQ)

It's only logical that the stock could be under some selling pressure once the lockup is over; no need to prop up if the float is an unusual trading group ( eg pure speculators ). What I would say is you'd have to see who actually owns the stock. Might be a great short prior to 7/29 if the insiders own enough stock.

  10. So I dropped by Taco Bell to have a quick meal but there was no parking so I went to McDonalds. They were doing okay business. I had the Big Mac meal plus a Fish Filet sandwich and three chocolate chip coookies.

Compared to Taco Bell, MCD is amazingly fast. I had barely handed my money over and they had my food prepared. The total cost was $12.50 which is more than twice the amount I would have spent at Taco Bell.

About once a decade I try McDonalds fries. They're just like I remembered them, way too much salt. It gets all over my fingers and ruins the taste. If I were going to eat them regularly I'd bring in one of those sticky tape contraptions you use to get your girlfriend's cat hair off of your suit. The box says it's only 8% of the RDA for sodium and only 1/5th of that found in the Big Mac but I don't believe it. The amount of salt depends on how much the guy adds to it. I've never had MCD fries with a decent amount of salt. Instead, they are just like they were when I was young, probably the same as when they were introduced in the 1950s. This is 2015; they should make them unsalted and let the customer salt them, if desired.

I remember when MCD introduced the Big Mac (and also when they began offering breakfast). As far as I can tell, it is still exactly the same. It uses shredded lettuce instead of single leafs. And just like in the 1960s, the shredded lettuce leaks all over. What a waste. Similarly, the Fish Filet is unchanged from 50 years ago. I like it, but hey, I like a pretty bland fish sandwich.

I wonder if Coke's famous disaster with "New Coke" contributes to McDonald's inability to modernize its menu. I wonder what plans they've got; are they going to modernize the menu?

Needless to say, I'll be eating at Taco Bell once the sleepy summer session begins in a week or two.
