As far as I remember the "triangle" at which the arrow points in my screenshot changed it's color when a new post was made in the thread since my last visit on ET (hence the title of this thread "Please bring back 'updated since last visit' clue on main page"). This feature saved a lot of time: It was easy to see when a new thread appeared since my last visit. This was a good feature because I didn't have to read through all the thread titles (and remember them) in order to see what was new and could be of potential interest to me.
All that triangle ever did (and still does) was point to the last post in the thread. I think you're getting that confused with the little yellow page icon that would be sitting the left of the thread indicating a new post since your last visit. I am aware of that problem. As a temporary solution, if you click on the words "New posts" at the top of the page, it will show threads that have unread posts, and you can click on the little "bookmark" icon to the left of the thread title to be taken directly to the first unread post since your last visit.
@FXforex - I think what you've illustrated is what the original thread starter is requesting. I know that feature needs to brought back, and I have someone consulting on how to implement it properly in our new system.

Looking back into the very first post in this thread I explained why this is not helpful. http://www.elitetrader.com/et/index...ed-since-last-visit-clue-on-main-page.285787/ The point is that I need to see new threads at one glance (which I stated already in the sixth post in this thread) in order to see if it might be worthwhile to look deeper into them. Seeing all the new posts is informational overkill and inefficient. When a feature is present that shows all new posts since my last visit this is a bypass which allows easily to identify all the new threads. Probably I just suggested the rollback because it seemed to me it might be easiest to switch back to the old version (apparently it's not so easy). (As an alternative it might be helpful to have a (new) page which shows indeed only "new threads since last visit". Don't know if this would be easier to implement than the rollback to the old feature.) Thank you for considering the problem further.
