No worries Porgie, not trading in my real account yet, which is probably hurting me because I know I'd have been making money this whole week so far, more than I can imagine, and today I'm still just watching market action go by, just not yet pulling the trigger. I believe when I actually don't worry about money and just trade, that is when you won't have to worry, now you just have to worry about when I'm going to actually just do it. BTW: Just wanted to add that I'm feeling better and better about trading, like, I really believe I can trade now. I don't believe I have ever felt that way, every day that goes by that I just watch, I just feel better and better about my knowledge about the market, and I KNOW, that if I just do this already, just break out of this little thing that is preventing me from pushing the buttons, I know I can do it. I am feeling good about trading, but, it still does not matter until I do it, and that is what is left to do. I even told Volente a few times already that I was just going to let loose and trade, and I have yet to do it, I just can't figure out what is holding me back. Inner self is just holding me back, really is interesting how trading forces you to look at yourself, and I know how there is an emotional battle in myself to trade, and to just watch, it really is amazing how challenging it can be, I love it. I just need to control all the emotions and I will get it. It is amazing how I can make 30 paper trades a day, and consistantly be 75% and above correct, has been this way for the past few weeks, I just don't know what I'm waiting for. It's all emotions now.
Doesn't work like that JM, You need to be losing money to be learning (1 contract), you can be watching everyday for 2 months making money every single day, the day you trade live, you lose 2% of your account. When you papertrade and watch, your order does not get inputed, which means price won't whip your entry. When you do a live entry, price will always come back and whip your entry. You need to be in the moment , moment after moment, till you can pick up every single subtletities , thats only done when you lose money. You can watch for years months on end, once you start trading real money, you will lose money that same day. Guaranteed.
I think I'm going to start a journal on ET to try and break myself of sitting on the sidelines. But, when I use NinjaTrader, I am still getting whipped around. I have 78% Win to Loss ratio on NinjaTrader for the past month of papertrading. So don't know what you mean about that, so I already know about whipsaws and such.
you can have a 100% hit ratio when papertrading don't matter. Trade real money 1 contract. All other practice/simulating is bullshit or "mental masturbation"as they like to say on ET.
