its quite a confusing instrument to invest in but it pays out a distribution once a month depending on how the VIX trades, other than that its still a very confusing way to trade the vix, I tried to read up on it when they first came out and just forgot about it since I couldn't understand how it worked....
I'm not much of a fan of the VIX products as a whole...I just prefer to use that index to determine what I should/shouldn't do with the main indicies...
Reminds me of that Shiller housing ETF with one class for rising home prices and one class for falling home prices. Nice in theory but it disappeared within a few months.
