Wow! Pelosi Is Disconected From Reality

  1. She has no idea about the financial pain regular people are feeling.

House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) said Thursday that she opposes a cut in congressional pay because it would diminish the dignity of lawmakers' jobs.

"I don't think we should do it; I think we should respect the work we do," Pelosi told reporters in the Capitol. "I think it's necessary for us to have the dignity of the job that we have rewarded."

The comments were made in the context of the looming sequester, which would force across-the-board cuts affecting most federal offices, including Congress. With lawmakers nowhere near a deal to avert those cuts, federal agencies are bracing for ways to absorb them with minimum damage to programs and personnel.

Pelosi, whose husband is a wealthy real-estate developer, was quick to note that a cut in her own pay would be far less significant than that for both staffers and less wealthy members of Congress.

"It's a hard question to ask me because most of my colleagues are the breadwinners in their families," she said. "A pay cut to me doesn't mean as much."

  2. She should forefeit her pay - work for a dollar a year. It's not unheard of, Bloomberg takes no paycheck.
  3. When the !$?! is the revolution coming?

If this was 200 years ago, all of them would have been shot for treason and have their bodies displayed outside the city gates for 3 days and 3 nights.
  4. It better hurry, or it's simply going to be too late.
  5. I'm ready! I'll ask the wife this evening if I can go to the revolution and let you know. Do I need to bring a jacket? :D
  6. Standing ovation for that! A smart Man who didn't sleep through history, from your post. Our Founding Fathers would have already done just that. By now, their grave sites are probably a mess from the rolling around, and back flips they're doing over this kind of shit!
  7. lol! Best to stay bugged in, and protect your Family if war breaks out in America. It's just my teen Son and myself, so I'm more than a little concerned about his survival with a Country sitting on a powder keg like it is.:(
  8. It would be a good bonding experience for the two of you if it doesn't last too long.

If anybody up in Pennsylvania wants an easy liberal target to take out let me know. I'll give you the address of my mother-in-law. :D

(Opps. Hope the wife didn't see me type that!)
  9. Good question, but my knowledge of history suggests the revolution will come AFTER the financial armageddon and it's victors most likely will be anathema to the founding fathers ideal.
    1) france 1789
    2) russia 1917
    3) germany 1933

Historically speaking revolutions don't appear to deliver freedom.

If I knew the correct mechanism for bringing down this Godforsaken Imperial Federal gubbermint, I would.
  10. FOCUS:collaborators first not just run of the mill idiots.
  11. Lol!

And I don't want him to see bloodshed. I did two hitches in Iraq... Wouldn't be much bonding when I'm ordering him to protect the house with a rifle while I try to sleep for a few hours at a time.

And your ex? If she's a democrat, she won't last long anyway as once she runs out of ammo, she'll say, "no, not fair. Let me get more ammo. You can't steal my food, and water til I get some more ammo!":D
  12. Well, the first thing would be to make a directional electromagnetic pulse generator that will fit in the back of a step van. Insulate the van electronics and go to the regional IRS records buildings and drive around that block with the generator on full. Then find out where other government databases are located and do the same to them.
  13. Can anyone here even fathomworking in a place where someone would have the audacity to claim they deserve their pay right after they crashed a company?

Picture any person in the private sector coming out and saying they dont deserve a pay cut, right after they crashed a viable company, and screwed all their consumers, how do you think that guy would make out?

What planet are we living on? How on earth do we re-elect demonstrable proven failures like nancy pelosi.
  14. It's a shame that people who wish to be governed aren't intelligent enough to select reasonable people to govern them.
  15. Satan himself could get elected in Entitlement Land if he promised "free ice cream".
  16. We might have a close second with this evil bastard in office.:(

His intentions are clear. Tear apart the America the serfs left England to create. Build it back in the image he and his sick father dreamed of.
  17. Ditto!

The more I see of Odumbo the more I feel uneasy... like a European Jew in the early 1940s.

  18. I agree with Phoenix. The outcome of a civil war really is unknowable, the victors might be just as bad or worse (i know that's hard to imagine) than our current 'leadership'. I would vote to split this country in two, I can't coexist with these aggressive big brother policies for the rest of my life.. and i know there are millions who feel the same way.
  19. That wouldn't work. The parasite half needs the wealth/work of the maker half.... without the makers, there is no wealth to redistribute.
  20. I'm fully aware of that, but a vote, even if it was only symbolic would help expose this ^ FACT. If it were possible it would also be better than war.. maybe not for the takers, but I'm fine with that. :D
  21. To Nancy Pelosi the world is just one big happy gay bar.
