Is this your way of dismissing the decline so as not to give Bush any credit? (Not that he deserves any)

In any case it appears the two graphs don't agree.
The second says 9.61 for 2008 and the first says 7.29 for 2008.

  8. If it wasn't for the spike at the end, I'd give him credit for the lowest positive change on record.

The raw data is here - http://www.miseryindex.us/indexbypresident.asp

Chart was from Christian Science Monitor here - http://www.csmonitor.com/Business/Paper-Economy/2010/0418/Remember-the-Misery-Index-of-the-1970s

According to that link Reagan and Ford out performed both Clinton and JFK.

Seems like an odd graph for you to be posting.

Also Dumbo's performance, based on the change, so far is much worse than the first graph you posted.

    Obama -7.73-10.74- 3.01- 9.93
Much worse than Bush so far. :D

  10. The difference is that the graph showed yearly changes rather than net change during the entire Presidency which I wanted to illustrate.

Bush left Obama with such peach of an economy didn't he, can't think of any reasons why it climbed under Obama.
