Why did the administration send out Seal Team Six to get killed?

  1. Lets see...Bin Laden was supposedly killed and within hours buried at sea with no proof of his death and now the only people that were actually there to witness the death of Bin Laden were killed 6 weeks later.

Sounds like this is standard governmental protocol. Issue a lie, and then kill all people that could expose that lie.

  2. Why are we sending our kids in when we have drones and smart, er... relatively smart ... bombs???

  3. Good question. We are so worried about "civilian" casualties, we prefer to risk our troops' lives. Of course, it's not like the brass who make these idiotic policies are at any risk because of them. Like it's always been, it's the frontline troops who pay the price.

  4. 1. Members of Seal Team Six were killed, not the specific Seals of the Bin Laden raid

"None of those killed in the crash is believed to have been part of the SEALs mission that killed bin Laden, but they were from the same unit as the bin Laden team."

2.This is not the first time a chopper carrying Seals were shot down and multiple Seals were loss

"The death toll would surpass the worst single day loss of life for the U.S.-led coalition in Afghanistan since the war began in 2001 — the June 28, 2005 downing of a military helicopter in eastern Kunar province. In that incident, 16 Navy SEALs and Army special operations troops were killed when their craft was shot down while on a mission to rescue four SEALs under attack by the Taliban. Three of the SEALs being rescued were also killed and the fourth wounded. "

  5. This just pisses me off. Bring home all our troops and let the rest of the world deal with their problems.

  6. quote from bond tradr:

[q]This just pisses me off. Bring home all our troops and let the rest of the world deal with their problems.[/q]

    Amen!!!

    Stop sending troops.

    Stop sending $$$ aid.

Stop sending anything that doesn't whistle on the way down.

  7. Agreed, if for no other reason than we cannot afford it any more. We're broke.

  8. Peace keeping and nation building is not possible there.

  9. It makes me sick. Let's get out of there and nuke the place from the air.

  10. Lions lead by Lambs results in lot's of dead lions, but it's all good so long as the lambs are OK, right? Makes me wanna' puke.

  11. 10 years engaged in an undeclared war and what have we gained?

I feel for the loss of our troops but I also have empathy for the millions of foreigners whose lives and families we have destroyed for purposes unknown.

Vengeance will always be an option for those whose lives have been impacted on both sides... really tough feeling to suppress and for many the only remaining purpose of their lives.

  12. All I have to say is that seal team 6 have some shitty helicopter drivers. They crashed one when going to bin ladens compounds and another gets shot down by people with 50 year old RPGs.

Someone teach those seals how to fly and maneuver.

  13. LOL

  14. "I say we takeoff and nuke the entire place from orbit"

    "Fuckin A!"

    :D

Seriously, why are we still in Afghanistan? Why isn't the left raising hell with Obama about it? What possible mission do we have there now?

And why the hell are we still in Iraq?

Bring them all home. We aren't the world's cop anymore.

  15. :D

  16. Before the last Presidential election, everyday on the mainstream media we were bashed with anti-war propaganda, huge segments of nightly news were devoted to telling us how bad it is.... the rhetoric was deafening. Campaign promises were made because of such.

Now casualties are mentioned in calm emotionless reporting, if at all, but no scathing rebuttals on why are we there, no up front - put the cameras in the faces of grieving families reporting. Instead we have feel good pieces showering a positive light on our servicemen/women in the field. Which is what they deserve

But you tell me why everything has to be politicized, why NBC, CBS and ABC are two-faced?

We need to finish what we started quickly, many there will be left to die if we just pull out, but they need to get their shit together.

Agreed, bring everyone home and CLOSE THE F"ING BOARDERS.

  17. The networks would post weekly causalities numbers, death counts...that all ended with Obama.

  18. I disagree. Once we have dealt we Afghanistan, we need to deal with the sand****ers in Pakistan who helped Bin Laden.

We need to work with India on this one, since Pakistan is big and has nukes.

  19. The helicopters are usually flown by the NIGHT STALKERS officially known as 160th Special Operations Aviation Regiment (Airborne) and are Army not SEALS.
