Hello Working on a research project, could anyone point me towards a link or information regarding which sectors or industries have the deepest pockets and/or most financial resources. Money that they themselves have and the ability to obtain government grants and incentives for their own programs For Example, which of these Healthcare / Hospitals Petroleum / Energy Transportation / Airlines Farming / Ranch Pharma / Drugs (related to healthcare) Retail / Shopping etc THank YOu
If it's a stock thesis related to the coming change in administration, feel free to PM me your idea. http://www.census.gov/econ/aces/report/2015/csr_summary_of_findings.html Govt had made some eye opening increases in mining. I suspect mostly from the "helicopter Ben" era.
I'm not going to do your research project, but sectors with the most financial flexibility would have: high margins high barriers to entry low cyclicality high value added / low commodity correlation conservative financial leverage (i.e. plenty of dry powder) strong brands low regulatory requirements there's start for you.
