Today I completed my 19th consecutive profitable trade. I know maybe it's not relevant, but it's interesting.
Stay humble, it’s quirky but when you publicize it, soon after your streak ends. I stopped counting.
It can be very relevant, depending on various other parameters you didn't mention, such as R:R, trading frequency, etc. (R:R is perhaps the big one, though ... systems with 95% win-rates can fail to be profitable, for example if that "unlucky" 1 trade in 20 wipes out all the profits and more. MAE is pretty relevant, too. Just saying...).
My average win-rate is 62% in 513 trades this year, I do not expect such long streaks, I find it only curious.
Huh, I just never look any more at that, just kept tabs on losing streaks/drawdown intra-day. For me, don't think it is healthy to think about that, I might then start believing I could do no wrong.
Largest profit versus largest loss during the winning streak ? 19 trades during what length (time span) ? How many of the 19 trades were strictly via your trading plan or how many during that streak were outside of your trading plan ? Automated trader ? I'm just curious. wrbtrader
Is not automated, daytrades using 1-5 min time frames executed in last 6 trading days. I believe that all the trades follow my trading plan, but I am still developing it.
