What's cooking, Doc?

  1. I'm thinking on a YouTube channel of cooking advice for work-from-home population. Like right now I'm making a week's worth of stuffing in the fridge then take it out at lunch:
    1. Pure vegetable soup (I'm trying to cut back on cholesterol) although not fat-free and tastes divine, you salivate before just thinking you're gonna get that at in-between-breakfast-and-lunch.
    2. Chicken paprika. Not fat free, not meat free. It's become a staple in the past weeks, which is surprising since I usually can't eat the same stuff for days on end. But ... bread is a staple: https://cibiantiquorum.com/hardtack/. So I guess some form of chicken could become that too.

  2. Overall, I'm middle class. Like a 2nd century auxiliary troops guy would have been: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Auxilia

I once read an "AMA" (ask me anything) on "HN (hacker news) and it was eye opening. "How do you know you're rich" was the question. "Well, the guy replied, I no longer care about food or food price in general". So while desirable as a goal, unfortunately even as solid middle class in a first (OK, maybe second but definitely not third) world country, I care about food. Prices and all.

Also. Food is comfort. Compared to my day to day responsibilities, we sent the soldiers on a mission and lost all contact to them, what do you do, launch an artillery barrage which will kill everyone, including ours if still alive or wait to be ambushed, well cooking is therapeutically simple in comparison.

And to those wondering, that's not a day in the life of an Ukrainian foot soldier but a day in the life of a software developer NCO ( or veteran mercenary ) hired to take care of high frequency, low latency trading providing billions of liquidity on the daily finance battlegrounds.

  3. My secret ingredient? Cream. Smetana: https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Smetana_(dairy_product)

But the chemistry of smetana is important if you don't want to end up with curled stuf. Either add it hot and keep churning or use a calorimeter to bring down the temperature in the pot from boiling to 60 Celsius and then add the cream: IMG_20250719_211706.jpg

  4. End result, a week's worth of nutritious, germ-free fodder:

  5. I store this stuff in the fridge and eat a whole week from it. Now it's Saturday. Even if I pour myself a plate of chicken paprikaČ™, let alone vegetable soup, next Friday, it's still good to go. You never get food poisoning from these properly cooked stuff.

  6. Of course, I eat 4 times a day and that's only 2 what I shown you. The other 2 are proprietary, Romanian diet. Close to Mediterranean diet but not quite.

  7. Be bright and sexy...use Clickbait. Wear
a thong bikini while making an Orgasm face...sex sells. That's the only way to succeed and grow on social media. Facts. And the bottom line.
