I would recommend that people actually read the "War is a Racket" book by retired United States Marine Corps Major General and two time Medal of Honor recipient Smedley D. Butler. There are items in his composition that I support and others that I disagree with. However you need to keep in mind that the policies he advocated were from an isolationist period of the 1930s in American politics - and his writing was in support of isolationist politicians.
