what indicator do you prefer for day trading

  4. price action the only indicator u need! Follow it and learn it and it will lead you to the pot of gold. The others will lead to a small pot of gold sometimes but then whack you for it all back and then some!
     
  5. right, but i just want to know which one you would put more weight on based on your experience
     
  6. moving averages are the only indicator i will rely on at all.
     
  7. What is it about "none" that is confusing?

    Price alone is sufficient.

    RSI can be useful, also the True Strength Index. They only work well on certain days though.
     
  9. I agree with the others that price is it.

    However I do use MACD and RSI but only for looking for divergences and that's it.
     
  10. None. All Oscillators work the same. Great in choppy markets, crappy in trending markets. Oscillators are Oscillators no matter what different means you use to calculate them.

    If you put a gun to my head..... MACD.
