    @Setharb

    I use a combination of 1 min & 5 min charts. I have no prior experience in futures and I ve been trading since the last 3 months. Prior to that Ive done occasional investments in stocks (not actively)
    My basic strategy is to look for 10/15 cents and exit.

    Well this was one day i would like to forget about. Earned $2/3K earlier in the day but made a crucial mistake by shorting 6 lots and then adding to the losing position. Here I would say that averaging out is not my style but even then I did it here because I knew market would rebound to 9890-9920 range. As it turns out I was correct as the next post will show todays trade(how I got out of these losing positions).

    Overall at the end of the day Floating loss was around -$12k

    Your cost averaging system will eventually blow your account.

    What will you do if oilf makes a $40 spike overnight? or a $5 spike?

    I am sorry to tell you the truth

  10. well we must know his working capital. If this is a 5mm account, he is fine to trade this size.

    On the other hand, 250k ... asking for trouble. big trouble.
