    UPS breaks ground on new flight simulator facility
    Work is underway on a new flight training facility for pilots at United Parcel Service Inc. The facility, which is located near UPS Airline's Global Operations Center at Louisville International Airport, will give the company more space to train new pilots as well as the 2,745 it has on staff now. The new facility will be one of several that UPS operates at the airport, including its massive UPS Worldport sorting hub.(Business Journals)

    UPS to test fully-electric Thor delivery truck
    [​IMG]
    UPS and electric truck maker Thor Trucks are collaborating on a fully electric Class 6 to be developed and tested in Los Angeles. The truck is expected to be ready to deploy later this year, according to UPS. It will have a driving range of approximately 100 miles and is powered by a Thor-designed and built battery made to be lightweight and durable. The plan is for UPS to test the medium-duty delivery truck in in fleet operations for six months. (Trucking Info)
