US program offering 'investors' green cards in exchange for cash. http://www.zerohedge.com/news/2014-...chinese-applicants-willing-buy-us-green-cards
Its easy to get U.S. citizebship provided you have money, I would prefer letting in all the wealthy Chinese people who want to come here as opposed to the poor south americans who come in and become a drain to the system. Chinese people work their asses off, and dont expect any thing from the government, if anything they fear the government because of where they came from. I cant even believe that it is controversial to these left wing commie shitbags that wed rather allow people who are going to create jobs into america instead of people who live off the system.
The Chinese with money who eventually attain voting status likely to not vote DemoCrap. The parasitic almost assuredly will.... especially with "no ID required". Dems don't want jobs.... they want dependency upon government to control the parasite vote. Dems don't want Americans to be successful, wealthy, independent. Those who become successful in spite of excessive regulation and taxes will have their success confiscated and redistributed to loyal parasite voters.
If they're acting similarly to those coming to Canada, the first person or two may "work their asses off", but the next 20 family members... maybe, maybe not. New rules make it tougher for immigrants to get Guaranteed Income Supplement Jessica Hume, National Bureau Mar 28, 2014 , Last Updated: 6:50 AM ET "OTTAWA - The Conservatives plan to make it tougher for immigrants to qualify for the Guaranteed Income Supplement (GIS) - a financial aid program for the poorest in the country. "Right now, immigrants need to be in Canada for 10 years to be eligible for Old Age Security (OAS) and GIS. "The government is proposing to extend that time to 20 years before an application for GIS can be made. Applications for OAS would still be allowed after 10 years. "The new measures only apply to immigrants who arrive under the parents and grandparents program - in which the sponsor already in Canada agrees to bear financial responsibility for their relatives. "Under the new plan, someone who is sponsored would not qualify for GIS. "A government source explained the measure as being about "fairness." "People who don't pay into the pension system should not get a massive amount of money while they're sponsored." "The measures should save taxpayers around $700 million a year."
Yeah but they take care of their own, their parents dont come over and live off the system. In Toronto that was always what it was like Old Chinese people send over a 20 year old kid with lots of money to try to make something of himself and bring the rest of the family over so they can take care of them.
You've been gone a while. Many "native" Canadians I know are quite unhappy that immigrants are getting subsidies, subsidies large enough to enable them to buy houses (in Calgary, for example) that the natives can't buy. That resentment is fueling the Harper government's move. Your virtuous Asian story is nice, but lacking a bit.
I work in Toronto every week doing banking IT for the past three years. Toronto has a very diverse population with people from all over the world; China, India, etc. I work with a group of people where finding native Canadian is like finding a needle in a haystack. Canada has been very open to attracting immigrants - especially skilled immigrants. Most of the people I work with have advanced degrees and came to Canada because they were not able to get a green-card to the U.S - All of them work very hard. However there is a lot of push back and resentment inside Canada because the immigrants have greatly driven up housing prices and are eligible for all of the social benefits.
