British MPs have voted against possible military action against Syria to deter the use of chemical weapons.

UK Prime Minister David Cameron tells MPs: "It's clear to me that the British parliament and the British people do not wish to see military action; I get that, and I will act accordingly."

The government motion was defeated 285 to 272, a majority of 13 votes.

    Oh snaaaaap, what now Obongo?

You gonna go declare war against Syria alone or back down? Even Bush had a coalition.

Either way, Obama has been made to look like a clown.

Don't you remember how bush was mocked by the left about the coalition of the willing being bribed and that the world was against him and blah, blah, blah.
And now he's going to go all alone while the entire rest of the world says nada.

It is just so hard to believe how messed up the left is and how they are destroying everything.

  6. A 2-Day strike? What kind of "warring" is that? Is this just a slap on the wrist for using gas?

Should we be militarily involved ANYWHERE unless we intend to POUND the other guy into submission and be done with it??

    :(

19th Century, meet 20th Century. (You're not going to like 21st Century.)

  8. The Hand Wringer in Chief, along with his administration have really blown this one. First he drew the red line and it got crossed. He does nothing. Months go by, tens of thousands more are killed. They finally move for some verification. They find verification. OK, you bad guy, you're really going to get it. The missiles are one the way. Mr. Pacifist himself,John Kerry, comes out and makes a compelling argument. This shit can't stand. We're coming and you're really going to get it. And then, WHOA, let's give this some more thought.
The message is clear to our enemies. All talk, no action. The lesson for us is just as clear. If you're going to talk smack you better believe that they are some really dangerous people out there who will call your bluff. This time it was Assad, and make no mistake, Putin knuckled up and said, you want some of this? Obviously, we don't.

If Obama joins an allied direct intervention in Syria then he's a militant thug, but if Obama does not join an allied direct intervention in Syria then he's a gutless pacifist.

  10. I think Obama is trying to get out of this one by deferring to Congress. At this point, he knows he made a really bad mistake by shooting his mouth off and is trying to shift the responsibility.

If Congress passes it, he will say okay this is what YOU want.

If Congress doesn't authorize, Obama will say it's the damn republicans fault.
