A man has been arrested and charged with murder after a car rammed into a group of people peacefully protesting against a white supremacist rally in Charlottesville, Virginia, killing one person and injuring 19.

Police said a 32-year-old woman had died and that they were attempting to notify her family before releasing more details.

Col Martin Kumer, the superintendent of Albemarle-Charlottesville Regional Jail, told the Guardian that 20-year-old James Fields, of Ohio, had been arrested following the attack on Saturday.

“He has been charged with second degree murder, three counts of malicious wounding and failing to stop at an accident that resulted in a death,” Kumer said in an email.

I was wondering if this terrible act was the result of the drugs they give psychos which seem to cause them to snap.

    We have our first clue.

"Weimer said he recalled Fields had wanted to join the army after graduating but had been turned down because the teenager had been prescribed medicine for a psychotic disorder. “When you bring that in to the picture, and you bring the views, and you bring in the views of Nazism and white supremacism... you start to see it is like a perfect storm.”"

  8. Seriously I will scream if a hear another cuck republican desperately trying to virtue signal for the media by calling this "domestic terrorism". The guy was trying to leave the area, his car was blocked in by rioters who were pounding on it with baseball bats and he panicked and hit the accelerator. He's 20 years old. It was a tragic accident, not terrorism and not murder from what I have seen. You are allowed to defend your life. I have no idea what the victim was doing, whether she was part of the mob or just a bystander. We know the left will turn her into the next Rosa Parks however and this poor guy into a cold=blooded killer. In fact, they already have, with idiotic tweets by pols who had no idea what actually happened.

Some of you who are so quick to condemn him might want to reflect on the possibility your college kid could get caught up in a mess like that with thugs pounding on his car, etc. What would you tell him to do? Take the Reginald Denny beatdown, with brain injury or death or try to get out of there?

Sessions Says ‘Evil Attack’ in Virginia Is Domestic Terrorism

    By EILEEN SULLIVANAUG. 14, 2017

WASHINGTON — Attorney General Jeff Sessions said on Monday that the “evil attack” in Charlottesville, Va., over the weekend meets the legal definition of an act of domestic terrorism, an early declaration in an investigation after a car plowed into a crowd of protesters.

“It does meet the definition of domestic terrorism in our statute,” Mr. Sessions said on ABC’s “Good Morning America,” referring to a fatal attack on Saturday when a vehicle drove into a crowd protesting white nationalists, killing one woman and injuring others. A 20-year-old man has been arrested and charged by Virginia authorities with second-degree murder, three counts of malicious wounding and failing to stop at the scene of a crash that resulted in a death.

“You can be sure we will charge and advance the investigation toward the most serious charges that can be brought because this is unequivocally an unacceptable evil attack,” Mr. Sessions said, adding that terrorism and civil rights investigators were working on the case.

Sessions may have to recuse himself on this one as well given his past
