I'm just curious about this. As a retail customer I'm familiar with software like TradeStation. And TradeStation meet the qualifications I'm about to describe.

I assume there is software out there that allows a broker to manage all of his accounts and he can have his customers subscribed to various trading systems that get auto traded.

What are the more common programs that brokers use for this?

While we are on the subject, are there any newsletter/subscriptions/etc that you suggest to your customers?

It is not just single app. It a set from different apps, sometimes integrated via DB.

For a broker to manage automated trading systems, he would need a front end software and those who subscribe to a single system could be under one block account that gets allocated in real time or end of the day.
Some Commodity Trading Advisors who may have automated systems could use such a service. However, many of the platforms that are available to brokers, CTAs, etc are also available to retail traders.
If your trading requires HFT execution than you may need a direct API.

I hope this helps. Let me know if I could be of further help.
