    July 1 (Reuters) - Canada's Toronto-Dominion Bank is exploring a takeover deal for U.S. brokerage Cowen, Bloomberg News reported on Friday, citing people familiar with the matter. (bloom.bg/3ya9yib)

    TD and Cowen did not immediately respond to Reuters requests for comment.

    TAKE overs. Many times they can afford to pay a premium since a bear market price maybe low:caution::caution:

    My observation is not statistically proven but is anecdotal is that more mergers take place at tops of the market because CEOs have a fear of missing out. Their actions are similar to retail investors.

  9. Interesting, I had just shorted more PUTs on TD during my lunch break.
