The Next Big Geomagnetic Storm Poses An Astronomical Risk To Modern Man

  1. "...a repeat of the most significant solar storm on record, the 1859 Carrington Super-flare, would cost trillions of dollars in damage as power grids, communication networks, and electronic equipment worldwide would be knocked out..."

So... why post this in "Political"?

I read not long ago that it would take "a few $Billion" to harden our electric grid against a solar event and/or a terrorist attack. (America's electric grid is apparently very vulnerable... with potentially catastrophic consequences for a failure.)

But rather than bolster our electric infrastructure, politicos would rather spend even that paltry sum (relative to our total budget spending) on supporting illegal aliens for political gain.

When such an event occurs, it will cause widespread loss, destruction, chaos and a huge death toll. Spend a few $Bucks to prevent the consequences? Not if that money detracts from supporting illegals, apparently.

    :(

Greedy politicos deserve to be tarred, feathered and run out of town on a rail!
