I think they know (or at least suspect it if they're dim). But if the details emerge in all their glory, both the amounts and the machinations, then I think it will be that much harder for even his most ardent supporters to compartmentalize and digest without a hiccup. In any event, I guess we'll find out in due course.
If bets are out, my take is it will have no effect as usual. Even if he raped a goat live on TV but the Russian media told Russians they shouldn't believe it, they wouldn't. Things will start changing there again only when they start starving.
