  2. David Gergen today: "The Republicans came into power in 2000 as Social Conservatives and they are now leaving as Conservative Socialists."

    I never thought the Republicans would beat the Democrats to the socialism punch, but they did. The $950 billion bailout and bank nationalization is the biggest act of socialism ever perpetrated in the history of the U.S.
