PITTSBURGH (NewsRadio 1020 KDKA) â The NSA has been exposed for accessing information from the internet and using it to âspyâ on people, claiming that it is only used to stop pending attacks. While this may be the case, what if there was a way to use a hidden internet and not be able to be tracked. Turns out it is already possible, itâs called TOR, The Onion Router. The Government set up a network on which users cannot be traced or tracked, not even the government themselves. Andrew Conte, a reporter with the Tribune Review, has been looking into this âhidden internetâ digging up the details. Conte joined Bill Rehkopf on the Afternoon News and explained how users can use the web and not worry about being traced. âIt masks the user so no one can see who is searching what,â the site only has to access where you want to go not where you have been, so that makes it, âtotally anonymousâ. Since it is all anonymous you can find items for sale that arenât legal, such as drugs or even a hit-man.
