Of course Paul isn't opposed to this nor are the tea partiers.
Bogus. Until they find that dinosaur's saddle, we have to assume it was a wild dinosaur, and there was no room on the ark for wild dinosaurs, only the domesticated ones.
Now before anyone starts to criticize Rachel Maddow, I just want to remind them that she's one of Joseph Goebbels favorites.
A few minor things which probably won't be relevant to you (Covertibility), since you're just out to troll for responses. 1. Creationists merely believe that life originated from intelligent design. It doesn't mean they believe there has to be a literal account of the Bible. Now, I'm sure there ARE creationists that believe in a literal account of the Bible, just like there are people who believe in things like Scientology, or that if they kill themselves, they'll beam up to the comet that is in the solar system, etc. 2. $43 million in tax incentives is not the same as getting taxpayer money, even if you moonbats want to classify it so. One means you get a tax break in order to bring jobs (construction in this case, etc) and those jobs create more taxes. The other means you were written a check of existing money. One is a business deal that is made to companies all over the country in order to entice them to do their business in your state/county in order to bring jobs. Whether this theme park is silly or not, it is viewed as a business, which is why the democratic governor agreed to the incentives - rightfully so. It means jobs and tax dollars. 3. If the point of the museum is to show children that evolution is not real, and that the only possible truth is that of Noah's Ark and the Bible, then I agree, it is rather stupid. But pardon me for being skeptical that Ms. Maddow is telling the whole truth. She then goes on to spend several minutes in a theatrical review of this religious group in Colorado and Ebenezer the dinosaur in what is quite obviously a ridiculous tale (again, if told accurately) of some wacko group. Slow news day on MSNBC? I guess I can see why you (Covertibility) and 5 other people watch this channel regularly. I mean, it's not like there haven't been enough silly and stupid things that the left or left wing groups have said in the past. Or even democratic congressmen like Hank Johnson who thought the island of Guam could capsize. 4. The Ms. Maddow decides to go into Michael Peroutka, some Constitutional Party candidate running for local council and the fact that he bought the dinosaur. She points out how rabid Mr. Peroutka is for stating that "The federal government doesn't have a right to tell you to wear a seatbelt, or a helmet, or to take one person's money and give it to another simply because they don't have money in a redistribution scheme". It's not like this is worse than saying all global warming deniers should be incarcerated or anything. Finally, Maddow goes on to say that thousands of people visited the theme park this weekend - which is probably slightly more than tuned to her show in the past thirty days. So all that hate she spewed over the 9:36 video was about a religious group that is quirky, harmless and runs a theme park. Meanwhile things like the VA scandal, Benghazi, Terrorist trading, the miserable economy, etc...all these things go unreported at the "news" station that calls itself MSNBC. Oh, and maybe I missed it or something but I didn't hear a single mention of Rand Paul in the entire broadcast. Just your comments on it. Hmm.. What a colossal waste of time both you, and MSNBC, are.
If one believes in the true ideals of the tea party, business should not need any tax incentives whatsoever. If you people want to see true tea party or small government advocates, then the Koch bros are for you. Obviously you people are faux TP'ers. I was going to write a bit more but really, a dinosaur on the ark! How can one not laugh at that?
