I Seem to see one of these stories of some hotshot trader claiming to make millions of dollars in the newspaper every few weeks.
Every time, without fail, it turns out to be a buch of lies, lol. Sometimes it's some oddball looking for attention, and sometimes it's more about fraud and trying to scam people.
I don't know why papers even print this nonsense. They just embarass themselves by printint these blatantly unbelievable stories and then have to print an update on the story a few weeks later about how none of it was true!

Ahah I remember, this story was funny (and ridiculous) too !
Always the same, 80's stereotypes : young people loving party, alcools & drugs, big cars, easy money...
But best traders are not "hype", actually they are boring people repeating same and same routines and habits.
Waiting for the next "new new new trading genius" !! Maybe 14 years old, with a rare Patek Philippe on his wrist and a 100 millions dollars in his trading account ? Can't wait !

Truth. And the exact same thing could be said for trading forums too.

  7. Here you go... "Plymouth Herald" ridiculed (once again? lol)

By whom? The Daily Telegraph... guess they prefer the "busted" kind of stories...

Altho I guess there is an incentive for brokers/banks/the industry at large to let (push?) this kind of get-super-rich-super-quick-trading kind of story in the news...

Would be interesting to start a thread "BUSTED" with links to both original AND busted news stories...
