  4. The reason for the objection to by the lefties "evolved" over time.

For a long time, they argued that it would suppress response by illegals.

And now the argument - especially by the candidates- is that we should not be doing anything, anywhere, at any time that distinguishes between citizens and non-citizens so that type of question is a non-starter.

The dissolution of our country by just peanut-buttering North, Central, and South America together in the former USA is a great victory for your ilk. You wanted total destruction of the country and you are getting it. No doubt you do not have children to be concerned about the future of the country.

  5. Yet another shameful surrender by Trump. His best hope of getting reelected is to fire his entire staff and hire people picked randomly from the crowd at one of his rallies. At least they would share his policies and want him to succeed.

2020 Census Won’t Have Citizenship Question as Trump Administration Drops Effort

WASHINGTON — The Trump administration, in a dramatic about-face, abandoned its quest on Tuesday to add a citizenship question to the 2020 census, a week after being blocked by the Supreme Court.

Faced with mounting deadlines and a protracted legal fight, officials ordered the Census Bureau to start printing forms for next year’s head count without the question.

The decision was a victory for critics who said the question was part of an administration effort to skew the census results in favor of Republicans. It was also a remarkable retreat for an administration that typically digs into such fights.

    Strawman, strawman.

You’d be better off advising Wilbur Ross of a legitimate reason to bypass the standard process to add the question to the census so that he doesn’t get called a liar by scotus again.

This question was always rooted in stealing political representation from democrats and had nothing to do with addressing illegal immigration or voting rights.

    The constitution prevailed this time.
