  1. no surprise to anyone who has been around et for a while:

To perhaps nobody's surprise, a study released this week finds that Fox News viewers are the most misinformed of any news consumers.

The University of Maryland study, called "Misinformation and the 2010 Election," looked at "variations in misinformation by exposure to news sources," among other things, and specifically newspapers and news magazines (in print and online), network TV news broadcasts, NPR and PBS, Fox News, MSNBC, and CNN.

The study found that daily Fox News viewers, regardless of political party, were "significantly" more likely than non-viewers to erroneously believe that:

•Most economists estimate the stimulus caused job losses (12 points more likely)

•Most economists have estimated the health care law will worsen the deficit (31 points)

•The economy is getting worse (26 points)

•Most scientists do not agree that climate change is occurring (30 points)

•The stimulus legislation did not include any tax cuts (14 points)

•Their own income taxes have gone up (14 points)

•The auto bailout only occurred under Obama (13 points)

•When TARP came up for a vote most Republicans opposed it (12 points)

•And that it is not clear that Obama was born in the United States (31 points)

  2. Wonder if this story was shown on Fox News today...

  3. I wonder if it was shown on Telemundo...

I wonder if the study finding should have read least informed instead of most misinformed.

  5. A lack of accurate information is not the same as intentional misinformation...

Those with a brain would understand that...

  6. Hello

    Hello

Whoever wrote this article is not very bright himself.

•Most economists estimate the stimulus caused job losses (12 points more likely)

It added jobs, but at a cost of about 500k per job, so in other words it was a colossal failure.

•Most economists have estimated the health care law will worsen the deficit (31 points)

You would have to be insane not to believe that Obamacare will add to the deficit at some point in time, look at every single other government program we have.

•The economy is getting worse (26 points)

The economy is infact getting worse when you judge it by the unemployment numbers, .2% uptick in the last couple months, and while we may be growing by GDP standards, that growth is unsustainable if unemployment doesnt come down.

•Their own income taxes have gone up (14 points)

Depends on who you ask, and what you consider a tax, many companies have come out already and said Obamacare will cost them billions.

    Hmmm, intentional misinformation?

•Most economists estimate the stimulus caused job losses (12 points more likely)

Nonsense. Fox asserts that the stimulus created few jobs and that those jobs cost the taxpayers more money than would be reinserted into the economy from those jobs.

•Most economists have estimated the health care law will worsen the deficit (31 points)

    Quite true.

•The economy is getting worse (26 points)

Nevada just anounced that it is experiencing 14+% unemployment which has been steadily increasing. The economy is getting worse.

•Most scientists do not agree that climate change is occurring (30 points)

Bullshit. Fox asserts that most scientists believe that climate change is not due to anthropogenic influence.

•The stimulus legislation did not include any tax cuts (14 points)

lol, the stimulus wasted $1T and everyone knows it.

•Their own income taxes have gone up (14 points)

Income taxes in California have increased as they have all over the country.

•The auto bailout only occurred under Obama (13 points)

I didn't see George Bush robbing any bond-holders, just the Obama regime. So much for rule-of-law.

•When TARP came up for a vote most Republicans opposed it (12 points)

No republican support in House or Senate for Tarp of Forced Government Healthcare. Those can be credited to you folks.

•And that it is not clear that Obama was born in the United States (31 points)

I've never heard that on Fox. I did see O'Reilly really tear a Birther apart once.

Your assertions are mostly untrue. I'll bet you long for the days of monolithic liberal media but I assure you those days are gone forever.

  9. Fox News Poll: Most Americans Support Arrests in WikiLeaks' Document Release

    Anyone believe that?

I'm filing it under the usual made up story since the Corporate Socialists sure don't like the Wikileaks'.

As for the threads, this one should be a doozy once the usual retards tune into Rush and FOXNews for the official rebuttal. Ya can fix stupid, but they sure do provide great entertainment.

  10. idiot know-nothing reposts a column about Fox News today ...
