Stop-loss: Trail or not?

    I trade with just stop loss orders, but yes both these order types come with their own pros and cons, based on what trading style one follows.

    It depends how far away your trailing stop is from spot. Obviously take into account the ATR and implied volatility of the underlying.

    I don't use stops. I'm a mental guy more than strategic.

    Probability of touch killed "stops" for me.

    I often think about this post you said.

    I am preparing a similar back testing spread sheet. Just a few questions.

    1. What do you mean by thousands of signal occurrences? Does this means, you took 1000 trade setups?

    1. So for each entry you took, you let the trade run and recorded the how far the price went? You must have chose a profit target of like 50 ticks or something.
