Stocks for Today...

Discussion in 'Stocks' started by investics, Feb 14, 2010.

  1. Greetings!

My main focus in trading is nothing new. It is something that is otherwise known as "Breadth Analysis".

If you are interested in this approach you HAVE GOT to read this book.

The Complete Guide to Market Breadth Indicators by ~ Gregory Morris

The contents of this BOOK alone could be enough to be the curriculum for a Masters Program.

Once the market is ready, we start buying the best performing stocks in terms of RSI and a few other variables.

I will post my stock watch/buy list before market open on most days....

Do not rush into stocks/ETFs. We have to wait for trends to establish. To be on the safer side my major stake is in QLD.

Strong up day yesterday. The market breadth has tremendously improved from a few days ago. I would have liked to see more volume and more money flowing in.

  7. What do you think of EPL, with the new structure?

Are you day trading these plays or swing trading them? Just curious regarding your time frame.

    Best regards,

  9. Trapper

    Thanks for your comment.

My overall style is swing trading, couple days to a couple weeks at most.

But there have been times where I will exit a position if it turns against me or if I make a quick profit before close that day.

For example if the stock makes a quick 10% on the day I enter I will sell 50% of my position to lock in profits.

    Hope that helps......

  10. dumbassesonwall nice nick.....

EPL a quick glance tells me the following things:

Very small market cap $25 Million

Thus bigger players won't be interested

It is making new highs, which is good

Vol has recently increased, which is good

If you are keen on this, a break of the 11.73 high might be a good buy point.

    Hope this helps....
