Startup making fish, livestock food from gas raises $40M
A Menlo Park startup developing an alternative to fishmeal has raised $40 million in a Series D funding round. The new capital will help Calysta build out commercial-scale production of its product, which the company says will go on sale next year. It's estimated Calysta has raised $88 million in funding to date, according to Crunchbase. Calysta uses fermented methane gas and microbes to make protein powder and pellets for fish farms, livestock and pet food. (Silicon Valley Business Journal)

    Yummy!

It may be no worse (or better) than what they're currently feeding them, though.
